Director of Pharmacy & Medicines
The Pharmacy and Medicines team in Fife is evolving, and we are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking leader to help drive that transformation.

The opportunity
This is a key senior leadership role within our Pharmacy & Medicines Service, offering the opportunity to shape services at scale and pace. As Deputy Director, you will lead the development and delivery of pharmaceutical care aligned to:
• Population Health – prevention, early intervention, and equitable access
• Service Renewal – redesigning services to improve outcomes and sustainability
• Sub-national planning – strengthening collaboration across systems and regions
You will play a leading role in advancing our integrated pharmacy model and leading major transformation programmes, including:
• Digital Medicines and data-driven care
• Medicines safety and high-risk medicines programmes
• Transformation of hospital pharmacy clinical and supply services
• Development of future workforce models across the whole service

Interview details: Interviews will be conducted at Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline A short assessment will form part of the interview process.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
