Job Description

Fairmont St Andrews are looking for an ambitious and passionate Restaurant Manager to take the lead at one of the most exciting F&B outlets. This a restaurant with two very different personalities and you’ll be at the heart of both.

By day, it’s a golfer’s paradise. Great food, relaxed hospitality and the perfect place to refuel before or after a round on our championship courses.

By night the restaurant comes alive as an award-winning AA Rosette Steak and Seafood destination, showcasing local quality produce and exceptional service.

We’re looking for someone who can lead both sides of the experience and create a restaurant that guests want to return to, whether they're here for their first tee time or their final course.

What you will be doing:

As Restaurant Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day operation, leading your team to deliver outstanding service across a unique and varied operation.

You’ll be visible, hands-on and guest-focused, working alongside your team to ensure every service runs seamlessly.

Reporting to the Director of F&B and the Director of Golf & Estates, you’ll:

Lead, motivate and develop the restaurant team
Ensure Fairmont and AA Rosette standards are consistently delivered
Create memorable experiences for golfers, hotel guests and local diners
Anticipate guest needs and deliver warm, personalised service
Manage rotas, staffing, training and team development
Drive Food & Beverage sales and team incentives
Manage stock, purchasing and operational costs alongside the F&B Controller
Monitor guest feedback and confidently resolve any issues
Take ownership of the restaurant’s P&L, forecasting and financial performance
Work closely with the kitchen and wider resort teams to deliver an exceptional experience

Qualifications

Previous restaurant or F&B management experience preferably in a five-star environment
A genuine passion for food, drink and exceptional service
Strong leadership and people development skills
Commercial awareness and confidence with financial targets
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
A hands-on, positive approach and the ability to adapt to changing business levels
