The shift pattern for this post is 40 hours per week over 7 days / on-call commitment

Applications are invited for this locum Consultant Cardiologist post which will be based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
This is a locum post which has arisen due to 1 year Maternity Leave cover. The successful candidate will join an established consultant cardiologist team.
The post is for a consultant cardiologist with an interest in echocardiography.
There will be the option to contribute to the transthoracic and transoesophageal echo lists at QE.
The successful applicant will also contribute to the in-patient cardiology rota at QEUH (CCU and general ward roles, weekend rota and out-of-hours on-call). Applicants must have MRCP, full GMC registration and a licence to practise.
Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT in Cardiology or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of Interview. Dual accreditation in GIM would be preferred but not essential.
You should have extensive training in general cardiology. Non UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training. Include information about:
