Band 5 Senior Pharmacy Technician
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Pharmacy Technician to work within the Perth and Kinross Community Mental Health Services (CMHS).
We are seeking to recruit a Pharmacy Technician to join our forward-thinking Mental Health Pharmacy team.
We are keen to hear from Pharmacy Technicians who:
- Have experience and a genuine interest in working with people and their families and carers to support their mental health care and treatment.
- Have an interest in working within multi-professional teams to deliver the best possible outcomes for individuals, and
- Are interested in playing a role in developing new service models of pharmaceutical care delivery within a fast paced and sometimes challenging environment
As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team the post-holder will be involved in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of person-centred care for individuals within the Perth and Kinross Community Mental Health Services to ensure that patients have the maximum benefit and minimal risk from their prescribed medication.
Perth and Kinross Community Mental Health Services provides care to people with mental health problems across the Perth and Kinross area from sites based in Perth, Crieff and Blairgowrie. These services work closely with partners including GP practices, Community Pharmacies, 3rd Sector agencies and Independent Advocacy Services.
The role requires you to be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and to either hold a recognised accuracy checking qualification or be willing to work towards this.
There may be a requirement to contribute to working within the hospital setting, weekends and public holiday rotas as per service requirement.
