With effect from 01 April 2026, NHS Scotland is reducing its full time working week from 37 to 36 hours per week, there will be no change in full time pay.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for someone who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role to shape, lead and coordinate the Programme Management of the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Medium Term Plan for NHS Tayside.
This role will be crucial in delivering on NHS Tayside’s commitment to delivering high quality healthcare. The Programme will require the individual to lead the coordination, design and delivery of an implementation plan which embeds sustainable improvements to crucial care pathways connected to our executive priorities.
The post holder will be an individual who is used to working autonomously, is comfortable with ambiguity and complexity, and is able to work to tight deadlines. The post holder will have excellent organisational and programme management skills, established improvement skills and strong interpersonal skills to coordinate the work of the many individuals and teams involved in designing, testing and embedding improvements in care. The post holder will be comfortable collecting and analysing data with minimal supervision and will be able to produce clear high quality written reports. The post holder will provide management for a number of individuals working within the programme.
Candidates will be considered who hold a first degree in a relevant discipline and either a formal qualification or equivalent experience in the field of Quality Improvement or Programme Management. Ideally you will have experience of leading change programmes within a healthcare setting.

Hours of work are: Mon – Fri, 37 hours per week. Fixed Term/Secondment for 23 Months.
