An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our developing Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) within the Dundee Outpatient Team.
We are seeking a clinically confident practitioner who is passionate about delivering high‑quality mental health care to children, young people, and their families.
What We’re Looking For:
As an ANP, you will be a central part of a growing and evolving team, with the opportunity to shape and drive advanced nursing practice across CAMHS. Your advanced clinical skills will support robust assessment, formulation, and intervention, including comprehensive medication review to ensure safe, effective, and person‑centered care. In addition, your leadership will play a key role in strengthening and supporting the nursing workforce as the service continues to develop.
Applicants must demonstrate:
- Significant knowledge and experience in assessing and treating mental health disorders, ideally within a CAMHS setting
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and commitment to maintaining advanced clinical competence
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical decision‑making skills
- The ability to lead, influence, and support practice development within nursing teams
- Confidence in delivering education, supervision, and development activities linked to advanced practice
Role and Leadership Expectations
Reporting to the CAMHS Senior Nurse, you will work closely with Team Leaders and senior colleagues to drive forward practice development, quality improvement, and our service values.
This post offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of advanced practice within a service that is expanding and strengthening its clinical model.
