An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Catering Assistant based at University Hospital Ayr.
Hours:
24.17 hours
Post – 0745 - 15.15/30 7days on & 7 days off
This post is offered on a permanent basis.
What you will do:
You will work as part of the Catering Production & Services Team, working within all areas, which includes the salad/sandwich area, assisting in all aspects of food preparation, delivery, service, wash-up cleaning duties relating to the provision of catering services to Patients, Staff, Visitors and for functions, Ensure correct Record Keeping, including HACCP Records, are collated, filed and maintained. Invoicing of hospitality and collating monthly financial auditing of figures, cross-charges, liaising with other internal, external departments and organisations. Printing off all hospitality labelling for staff dining rooms, Visitors and functions including diet labels for patients.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You will have good communication, verbal or otherwise and practical skills are essential.
Desirable for current Food Hygiene Certificate, or essential to complete with the first 3 months of employment. Desirable previous experience of working within a large-scale catering environment would be an advantage, however full training will be given.
