Barclays is seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Derivative Confirmations Analyst to join our Structured Confirmations team within the operations function. This is a key role responsible for contributing to the end-to-end confirmations drafting & execution process across a range of derivative products, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full regulatory compliance.
To be successful as a Derivative Confirmations Analyst, you should have:
Previous experience working with Confirmations documentation and/or Derivatives across Asset Classes, specifically Equity, FX or Interest Rates.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Awareness of change, automation or transformation principles, with an ability to apply these to your daily BAU
Prior operations experience, ideally within a small team environment.
Understanding of regulatory frameworks and operational risk controls.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role will be located at our Glasgow office.
This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

Accountabilities
- Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
- Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
- Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
- Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
- Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
- Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
- Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
