We are now looking for a proactive and organised Administrative Assistant to join our busy Head Office team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a varied role with real responsibility.

The Role

As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide essential support across multiple areas of the business, helping to ensure day-to-day operations run efficiently. This is a dynamic position where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

Using SAGE Accounts to create purchase orders, sales orders, quotations, and invoices
Scheduling and managing jobs using internal systems
Processing payment applications and remittances
Supporting payroll administration
Acting as a key point of contact for customers (phone and email)
Providing administrative support to the operational team
Answering calls, coordinating meetings, and welcoming visitors
General administrative tasks including filing, scanning, and document preparation
Ordering supplies from approved suppliers
Assisting with HR administration (holiday tracking, absence records, drafting letters)
Managing company vehicle administration
Supporting the wider team with ad hoc administrative duties

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong literacy and numeracy skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload
Strong time management skills
High attention to detail
Problem-solving mindset
Professional and polite telephone manner
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desirable (but not essential)

Experience using SAGE Accounts or payroll systems
Previous experience in a busy administrative role
