Join our Estates & Facilities team and help shape the future of NHS Lanarkshire.
We’re looking for two experienced and motivated Assistant Maintenance Managers to join our dynamic Estates Department at University Hospital Monklands — one specialising in Water Systems and one specialising in Building Fabric. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to support the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of critical infrastructure across a complex acute hospital environment.
You’ll support the Maintenance Services Managers in delivering safe, reliable, and compliant engineering services across a complex acute hospital estate. The role involves assisting with contract management, maintenance planning, and statutory compliance – particularly across water safety and related building services.
About You
You’ll be professionally qualified in an appropriate engineering or building services discipline, with experience in maintenance operations, auditing, and contractor management. Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, as is a proactive approach to service improvement.
What We Offer
- A structured pathway for development and progression
- Involvement in innovative projects supporting NHS Lanarkshire’s sustainability goals
- The chance to work as part of a highly skilled and forward-thinking Estates team
This is an outstanding opportunity to grow your career within a supportive environment committed to technical excellence and patient-centred service delivery.
Bite-Size Drop-In Sessions
A series of bite-size drop-in engagement sessions will be delivered via Microsoft Teams, giving prospective applicants the opportunity to meet members of the Estates team, ask questions, and gain an insight into the working environment at University Hospital Monklands. These short virtual sessions are designed to be flexible and accessible. These sessions will be available on:
01/12/2025 @ 15:30
02/12/2025 @ 14:00
To register for a drop-in session, complete this MS Form.
