Team Leader – Health Visiting & School Nursing Service
Location: Inverurie Health & Care Hub, Garioch
Hours: 37 hours per week (reducing to 36 in 2026)
Salary: Band 7 – £50,861 to £59,159 per annum
Contract: Permanent
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Health Visitor or School Nurse to lead our Garioch Health Visiting & School Nursing team. Based at Inverurie Health & Care Hub, this role offers the opportunity to shape and support high-quality, family-centred care across the locality.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strong clinical leadership and operational oversight.
Support staff development and service improvement.
Implement the Health Visiting Action Plan 2025–2035 and the 10 Priority Pathways for School Nursing.
Promote integrated, trauma-informed, and child-centred care.
Essential Skills & Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of GIRFEC, UNCRC, Child Protection legislation, and the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.
Proven leadership in community nursing or public health.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse with Health Visiting/Public Health qualification.
Postgraduate study or working towards a Master’s degree.
Experience in team management and supervision.
Car driver/owner or access to transport.
