Due to continued growth and the significant level of investment across our Transmission business, we now have multiple opportunities for Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors to join us at a truly exciting time. We are supporting a large portfolio of major overhead line and substation projects across Central and Southern Scotland, all contributing directly to Scotland’s journey to Net Zero.
In these roles, you’ll oversee all commercial activity from tender development through to final account, ensuring our projects are delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with NEC4 contracts. You’ll play a key part in enabling the energy transition while helping shape the future of critical national infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
Prepare NEC4 tender documents and negotiate tender prices.
Produce monthly valuations, commercial reports, and financial updates.
Manage early warnings, compensation events and change control processes.
Attend or lead (senior level) commercial meetings with partners and stakeholders.
Agree final accounts and maintain accurate commercial records.
Ensure compliance with internal processes and industry standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Mentor junior staff (senior level only).
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (consultancy or contracting).
Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of procurement and cost management.
NEC3/NEC4 contract administration experience.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
MS Office proficiency.
Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
MRICS status (Desirable)
Transmission or utilities sector experience (Desirable)
