Reporting to: Coffee Shop Manager
We are looking for a friendly and proactive Coffee Shop Assistant to join our front-of-house team. Our onsite eatery holds a 5-star VisitScotland rating and offers breakfast, coffee and tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring our high standards are consistently maintained.
This is a temporary, part-time role expected to last approximately three months, working on a fully flexible basis. We are happy to offer flexibility with working hours for the right candidate.
Rate of pay: £13.08 per hour, increasing to £13.45 per hour from 1 May 2026.
Key duties:
Amongst other duties you will be
- welcoming customers and providing excellent customer service
- making and serving drinks
- operating the till
- taking orders and serving food
- demonstrating your knowledge to customers by advising and assisting with food orders
- Supporting the team with general cleaning and tidying duties

- preferably have previous experience within a fast paced, customer facing environment
- be a reliable team player
- have a pro-active approach and can-do attitude
- have excellent communication skills
- be able to stay calm under pressure
- be committed to delivering exceptional customer service every time
