To undertake the installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault rectification on the following apparatus:
What you’ll be doing
Contributes as an effective member of the Field Operations Team through achieving of overall targets
Undertake installation, commissioning and maintenance of new apparatus on time and to budget
Undertake defect diagnosis using PC based diagnostic tools & ensure clearance in accordance with overall targets
Ensure all site works undertaken safely through adherence to safety management systems
Ensure that work programmes are delivered to budget and agreed quality standard.
Deliver gold standard customer service during site installations and interaction where required with customers
What you’ll bring
Authorised to undertake ‘live working’ in accordance with PowerSystems Live Working Manual
An understanding of the challenges and aims of the Network Technical Services Group.
Knowledge of Power Systems Health & Safety & Environmental requirements and compliance
Sound working knowledge of the following:-
Distribution Protection & Battery systems.
SCADA/Telecontrol
Distribution Plant
Network Controllable Points
Online Monitoring Apparatus
Telecoms Apparatus
Minimum Requirements
S/NVQ 4, HNC/HND
Crafts qualification, apprenticeship, SCOTVEC equivalent or equivalent vocational qualification
At least 3 years work experience in relevant technical position
Knowledge of H.V. Distribution Protection Systems
Appreciation of Contractor Management
Hold appropriate PowerSystems Operational authorisations
Expert knowledge of ScottishPower’s Safety Rules, PSSIs and PSMSPs and Quality Management System
