Site Based role – We have projects in the East Coast, Central Belt, Borders, Glasgow, Ayrshire &Dumfriesand Galloway.

We’renow looking for aSite Manager, a pivotal role within the SPT business with responsibility for managing construction outputs during the delivery phase of SP Energy Networks’ Core Projects.
As part of a multidisciplined delivery team — including Construction Managers, Project Managers, HSQE Consultants, Quantity Surveyors and Design Engineers —you’llsupport the planning and delivery of key construction projects.
Acting as the primary onsite representative,you’lltake confident ownership of site activity and provide technical support and advice, primarily on the electrical aspects of construction across transmission projects.
You’lllead the onsite management and delivery of Core Projects within our Transmission business, contributing to the construction of new build, replacement,refurbishmentand other major transmission programmes.
With your experience in managing transmission construction projects, including Contractor Site management you will be confident at monitoring and managing contractor’s works, trackingprogress, keepingaccuratesite records ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety and Environmentallegislation.
Ensure Constructability and working methods are interpreted and aligned with Engineering Design scope, drawings, and standards, providing technicalexpertiseand management of work packages.
Drive the commercial management and administration of each work package including measuring & monitoring of time and cost against agreed delivery strategy.
You will have technical Knowledge and experience in quality control and inspection and testing of structure and main plant installatione.gGrid TX’s, Auxiliary Earthing Transformers, CB’s, PI, CVT, CT’s, SA, ES, Pantographs & Disconnector’s. We will also look for you to have Experience in cable installation, glanding andterminating, protection & control systems, telecoms, earthing, mechanical and electrical interlocking/testing.
You enjoy, and are focused, on leading a team in a contractor’s environment, and your excellent negotiation and influencing skills will be a great attribute to the team.

Primary knowledge of specifications, designs, maintenance,constructionand commissioning of electrical works within a substation environment
