Due to retirement of a long standing member of staff (25 years), we are looking to recruit a replacement joinery workshop foreman.

We are a small family business specialising in the restoration/manufacture of timber sash and case windows.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OF TRADITIONAL TIMBER WINDOWS

Role Description

an experienced joinery workshop foreman with workshop experience to be responsible for overall control of workshop i.e. manufacturing of sashes and full sash and case timber windows
Responsible for ordering and control of materials (reporting to director)
Managing the maintenance and effective use of machinery and equipment, to ensure most effective and efficient and highest quality of work methods.
Inspection of good housekeeping in all areas of manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Manage all joinery workshop manufacturing on a daily basis
Ensure works are completed within set timescales
Ordering of materials to maintain stock levels
Continuously identify and forward ideas that will improve efficiencies
