Embark on a transformative journey as a Global Reconciliation Senior Analyst, where you will be shaping the future of Banking at Barclays, by supporting the Global Reconciliations (GRS) team provide reporting coverage across all legal entities and service areas wherever GRS supports from reconciliation perspective. This role sits within the Barclaycard team, where you will be providing input, journal/payment processing as part of the delivery and support of the end-to-end reconciliation process. You’ll process high value payments/journals, ensuring risk mitigation, control compliance, and rapid resolution of discrepancies.
To be successful as a Global Reconciliation Senior Analyst, you should have:
- Proven experience in reconciliations, financial controls, or payments operations.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Deliver accurate reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and variance analysis.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, analytical tools, and reconciliation systems.
- Strong analytical/problem solving mindset is a must, as is the ability and willingness to get into the details; must be solution oriented.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks, including the ability to identify, identify, assess, and mitigate, operational, financial and compliance risks.

This role is based in Glasgow with a hybrid working model of working a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
Purpose of the role
To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.
Accountabilities
- Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
- Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
- Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
- Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
- Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
- Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
- Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
