We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the Payments Squad within the Banking & Payments Tribe of Barclays Private Bank & Wealth Management. In this role, you will own the business analysis and manage end‑to‑end delivery for a significant payments architecture and routing change, coordinating across dependent technology and business teams to ensure aligned, timely outcomes. You will define and drive clear, testable requirements, partner closely with architects and engineers to shape viable solutions, and work with Operations, Risk and Compliance to ensure changes are delivered safely, improve straight‑through processing, and align to regulatory and control expectations. The role plays a key part in ensuring payment routing strategy, delivery and business readiness are tightly interlocked across the end‑to‑end payments landscape.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience in:
- Technical analysis in a complex payments processing environment, defining business and technology requirements, and senior stakeholder management.
- End-to-end tech delivery across multiple platforms.
- Strong communication skills, ability to present and consult on more complex issues.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
- Experience in delivering change on large regulatory change programmes.
- An ability to work in ambiguous situations requiring a drive to seek out solutions.
- Familiarity with Scrum techniques, Agile and SAFe methodologies.

Accountabilities
- Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
- Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.
- Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
- Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
- Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
- Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
- Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.
