The Royal Hospital for Children and Young People is a teaching hospital with an established reputation for offering best practice across a wide variety of paediatric specialist services, including general medicine, surgery, intensive care, respiratory, neurology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, endocrinology, renal, infectious diseases and haematology and oncology.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic pharmacist to join the pharmacy team delivering quality pharmacy services across these areas. The post holder will contribute to the development and delivery of the clinical pharmacy service in the face of emerging challenges around site capacity and patient flow. The post holder will be a key member of the multidisciplinary teams, where pharmacists have an established non-medical prescribing role. The post holder will commence working within the medical team and will be trained to cover our acute receiving unit and our specialist medical wards.
The vision for the Pharmacy & Medicines service is to deliver clinically led, person-centred services to ensure patients across Lothian get the best from their medicines and pharmacy services. We are focussed on creating an environment where each person in the team has the opportunity to flourish, develop and make best use of their skills.
