PTSL has an excellent opportunity for a first-class Temporary Shipping Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to our Customer Services Manager, you will manage day to day operations of shipping and logistics.
You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate shipments, coordinating with couriers, maintaining shipping documentation, and working closely with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of goods. Further key duties include accurate input of data into PTSL’s ERP system.
Key Responsibilities
Administration
- Track orders throughout the logistics process from stores to delivery and return
- Accurately record all inputs and outputs on ERP/CRM systems
- Plan and execute timely deliveries of goods
- Liaise with couriers regarding shipment and delivery status
- Update systems with real-time delivery progress and receipt of goods
- Process internal orders and ensure deadlines are met across fulfilment and transportation cycles
- Complete customs declarations and ensure compliance with import/export regulations
- Verify data accuracy in line with customs codes and licences
- Provide monthly reports on shipping errors, delays, and internal issues
Customer Service
- Monitor goods in and out using Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems
- Coordinate deliveries effectively with internal teams
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders via email, phone, and in person
- Ensure shipping processes are cost-effective and compliant with legislation
- Liaise with internal teams regarding shipment delays and updates
- Process data accurately and efficiently
Shipping & Logistics
- Plan and track shipments in line with customer requirements
- Coordinate with couriers to ensure on-time deliveries
- Ensure all shipments meet local and international customs requirements
- Support with border control issues or customs delays
- Respond to customer queries and maintain strong business relationships
- Pack and dispatch final goods
- Manage shipping schedules to maintain a consistent workflow
- Meet deadlines across shipping and transportation activities
Stock Control
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock availability
- Conduct regular stock checks and stock rotation
- Support quarterly stock audits with the Customer Services team
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a logistics, shipping, or supply chain role
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience using ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Good understanding of shipping processes, customs requirements, and documentation
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
