The role sits within the Product Control team; a control function responsible to produce the daily P&L across the suite of Commercial Banking and Treasury products.
Product Control is an agile and encouraging team with a desire to foster all its peoples development goals, via learning opportunities, knowledge sharing and cross training! You're expected to work effectively as part of the wider team, helping even out workload, collaborating to solve problems and sharing knowledge. What you’ll be doing:
Preparation of daily P&L production, reconciliations, signoffs and issue resolution.
Supporting the month end close processes associated with accurately reporting and independently validating the bank’s balance sheet in a timely manner through the preparation of complex reconciliations leading to several journal postings.
Preparation of analysis and in-depth commentary on P&L and balance sheet movements.
Supporting a robust control framework for all processes within remit.
Undertaking ad hoc work and investigation arising from partner requests.
Supporting delivery of efficiencies and a culture of continuous improvement.
Establishing and building relationships with partners.

What we’re looking for:
Qualified or part qualified accountant.
At least 12 months gaining knowledge of Financial Instruments.
12 months or more developing relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
Numerate and competent with MS Office applications, with 12 months or more experience with Excel.
