Following the NHS Fife Child Protection Team’s service redesign and restructure, an exciting new opportunity is available for a full time, permanent, Child Protection Team Leader position to support the operational responsibilities of the Child Protection team.
You should have extensive experience of working directly with children, young people and/or their families within a child protection context as well as a sound knowledge of child protection research, guidance, legislation and policy. You should have a high level of communication, organisational and leadership skills and have the ability to lead and manage a team. Quality assurance, Quality Improvement and training experience would be an advantage.
The Team Leader should be an enthusiastic and motivated leader, who will provide operational management of the Child Protection Team’s 4 core functions and oversight in relation to new single and multiagency IRD operating models. The successful candidate will support the Lead Nurse for Child Protection to progress the strategic direction for Child Protection in Fife, and the quality assurance and quality improvement work of the Child Protection team.
The post is a Band 7 specialist role requiring a high level of Child Protection knowledge, experience, skill and training. It requires leadership, management, supervisory, decision making and communication skills to work both independently and collaboratively with partners, in often complex situations, to ensure that NHS Fife meets their responsibility and commitment to protect children. The post holder requires Master’s level or to work towards.
