Base Location: Reading, Perth, Glasgow or Manchester
Salary: £44,000 - £65,900 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

The Role:
The Commercial Analyst (Modelling) role is responsible for building long-term contract cashflow models and managing financial and commercial analysis for projects, supporting business growth by modelling and appraising risk and return from our solutions and projects. This role supports senior commercial roles in both servicing the business development teams with key commercial outputs for projects but also ensuring that rigour is applied to proposals and investment papers.
You Will
- Weave intricate financial models and assumptions registers that form the bedrock of our propositions. Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to nurture these models through gate processes, ensuring corporate finance alignment.
- Customise your commercial and financial analysis to fit the unique contours of each project. Your insights will be the guiding light during project negotiations, empowering your team to make informed decisions.
- Be a linchpin in the birth of new propositions. Mould commercial appraisal models and delve into risk/opportunity analysis, setting the stage for groundbreaking developments.
- Join forces with senior commercial modellers to infuse your magic into customer and stakeholder proposals. Your expertise will paint a compelling picture of our projects' potential.
- Become a maestro in the key market dynamics and commercial aspects that underscore our assumption registers. Your insights will be the compass driving sound decision-making.
You Have:
- A robust grasp of commercial and financial landscapes, with a penchant for long-term contracts and project development. Your experience in these realms will set you up for success.
- Expertise in financial modelling, particularly in the realm of investment development and appraisal.
- While not essential, a nod to the UK energy market, electricity networks, and distributed energy/behind-the-meter generation and storage assets would be advantageous.
- Exposure to managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Your knack for prioritization and meeting deadlines will make you an indispensable asset.
- This role is an ideal launchpad for those with a thirst for financial modelling and analysis, eager to expand their horizons into a broader commercial domain.
