Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office – Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness.
Salary: £78,400 - £117,600 + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

This is a role where your expertise truly matters and your voice will help shape the future of Underground Cable (UGC) engineering at a time of major transformation. As Lead Principal UGC Engineer, you’ll play a central role in building a cleaner, more resilient energy network, working collaboratively with talented colleagues across SSEN Transmission.
You’ll guide the development of standardised, future ready designs, encourage innovative thinking, and create an environment where people feel supported to do their best work. Promote a caring approach to health, safety and environmental excellence, and uphold CDM, ESQCR and SSEN standards.
