OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS

BAND 6

We are in the fortunate position to be recruiting to Occupational Therapy positions within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary & Aberdeen City Health & Social Care Partnership. We have 3 Rotational Band 6 Occupational Therapy posts, current vacancies are within our surgical, frailty assessment teams at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The posts provides the opportunity for an innovative, enthusiastic therapist to gain experience within a rotation in the Acute Sector, and Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership.

The posts will involve working closely with Senior Occupational Therapists and multi-disciplinary/multi-agency teams to assess and treat patients with a variety of conditions in a number of settings, both inpatient and community, throughout Aberdeen City.

At present, rotations include Trauma Orthopaedics, Acute Stroke, Surgical, Acute Neuro, Vascular, Orthopaedic Rehabilitation, Stroke Rehabilitation, Neuro rehab, Frailty assessment and rehabilitation with the current vacancies being within the surgical & frailty assessment teams at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The post will involve working closely with the Senior Occupational Therapist and multi-disciplinary/multi-agency teams to assess and treat patients with a variety of conditions.

Opportunities for continuous personal development (CPD) are encouraged with regular supervision & in-service opportunities.

Applicants must be registered with HCPC, have a valid full UK Drivers Licence.

There may be a requirement to provide 7 day service cover to include weekends and Public Holiday to meet the service needs.

Interviews will involve a practical element, therefore in person interviews only.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
