An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head Chef to work within the Diet kitchen at Ninewells Hospital. We are looking for a Head Chef to lead the team. You are required to deliver a high standard of Catering Services within the Hospital to patients, staff and visitors whilst maintaining a clean, safe working environment. Applicants must have a working knowledge of HACCP, Health & Safety & COSHH procedures. Previous experience of cooking in a large-scale Catering environment at a supervisory level is preferred, as is a good knowledge of working procedures, practices & equipment through a combination of experience and professional qualifications. Knowledge of specialist therapeutic diets is essential for this role.
Enhancements are paid for weekend working.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
The post holder is expected to work on a rota alongside existing Head Chefs to ensure adequate service cover.
