As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

Medicine of the Elderly rehabilitation wards (Wards 50/51)
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our dynamic medicine for the elderly physiotherapy team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a support multidisciplinary environment, helping to deliver high quality rehabilitation to frail and acutely unwell older adults.
You will play a key role in assisting the physiotherapists to promote mobility, independence, and recovery for patients during their hospital stay. This involves supporting patients, many who have complex medical conditions, who are in hospital with reduced mobility, falls, and deconditioning. In this post, you will work closely with qualified physiotherapists to implement and feedback on delegated rehabilitation plans.
Previous experience within the therapy profession would be beneficial but would encourage candidates with transferrable skills related to education, exercise prescription, rehabilitation or experience working with older adults to apply for this role.
We are looking for candidates that are kind, patient and motivated to work specifically with older adults. This will require candidates to be able to demonstrate that they are effective communicator but this patients and colleagues. Working within a team, you will need to be flexible and have a proactive approach to both clinical and non-clinical tasks.
All team members will be provided with regular supervision session and also be supported though the probationary and appraisal process to ensure the development of competence and confidence within the role. All staff members are also provided time and opportunities for continual professional development
