Due to continued growth within our renewable division, we are looking to recruit an organised and proactive Solar Coordinator to support the delivery of Solar PV, Battery Storage, and EV Charging projects.
Role Overview:
The Solar Coordinator will play a key role in managing renewable energy projects from initial sale through to installation, commissioning, and handover. The successful candidate will coordinate customers, engineers, suppliers, DNO applications, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
This is a varied role combining office coordination with practical hands-on support where required. The successful candidate must be willing to assist with installations, deliveries, site logistics, lifting/carrying equipment, and carrying out customer site surveys.
Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, as the role involves regular liaison with customers, engineers, suppliers, and management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Solar PV, Battery Storage, and EV Charging installations from sale to completion
- Manage project schedules and installation diaries
- Submit and manage G98/G99 DNO applications
- Liaise with customers throughout the installation process
- Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Carry out customer site surveys and report findings back to management
- Assist with installations and provide practical support to engineering teams where required
- Assist with deliveries, unloading materials, and site logistics
- Ensure all project documentation and compliance paperwork is completed correctly
- Assist with MCS and RECC compliance requirements
- Monitor project progress and resolve scheduling or operational issues
- Order materials and track deliveries where required
- Support post-installation handovers and customer aftercare
- Maintain accurate internal records and CRM updates
- Carry out lifting and manual handling duties associated with renewable installations
Requirements:
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to undertake practical hands-on tasks as part of the role
- Ability to carry out site surveys and report accurately back to management
- Full UK driving licence required
Desirable:
- Previous experience within the solar, electrical, construction, or renewable energy sector
- Electrical knowledge preferred but not essential
- Experience using OpenSolar or similar design platforms
- Knowledge of MCS and G98/G99 processes
- Renewable energy industry experience
