Job Description
As a Visitor Experience & Retail Assistant, you will create memorable and enjoyable brewery experiences for every visitor while supporting the smooth operation of the Belhaven Brewery site and shop. Your day-to-day will involve welcoming guests, delivering engaging tours, maintaining retail and cellar standards, and ensuring everything runs safely and efficiently. You’ll play a key role in supporting your team by working collaboratively across departments and contributing to an exceptional visitor offering.
Working hours: Every Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Qualifications
Your role as Visitor Experience & Retail Assistant...
- Deliver an outstanding visitor experience through meet & greet, guided tours, and storytelling
- Support retail operations including sales, merchandising, and accurate cash handling
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and cellar upkeep (including weekly line cleaning)
- Ensure health & safety procedures are followed and visitors are briefed appropriately
- Assist with events, promotions, and general site operations as required
What you’ll bring…
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within retail, hospitality, or tourism
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, welcoming approach
- Confidence handling cash, using tills/EPOS systems, and delivering sales
- Ability to work flexibly, prioritise tasks, and adapt to different duties
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn, take initiative, and support the wider team
