About the Role:
Special Care Nursery (SCN) at North Canberra Hospital (NCH) is a Level 3 neonatal unit servicing the ACT and supporting surrounding NSW through the ACT Neonatal Network. With 12 funded beds, approximately 1,700 births each year and around 550 neonatal admissions annually, SCN plays an important role in providing specialised neonatal care to newborns and their families across the region.
The unit is proud to deliver individualised, family-centred care in a developmentally appropriate and technologically state-of-the-art environment. At the heart of the service is a commitment to partnering with families and providing the highest standard of care during some of the most important moments in their lives.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Midwifery, the Clinical Nurse Consultant will provide nursing leadership and support to staff within the Special Care Nursery to achieve excellence in clinical practice. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team and consumers, you will help foster a collaborative and supportive culture, drive high-quality care, and contribute to positive outcomes for newborns and their families.
