As a Training Analyst at Barclays, you will play a key role in strengthening the Financial Crime Screening (FCS) learning environment through the delivery, governance and continuous improvement of training and accreditation activities.
Working across Customer Screening, Adverse Media Screening, Payment Screening and wider financial crime capabilities, you will support colleagues at all levels, from operational teams through to senior leadership, by delivering learning solutions, maintaining accreditation governance, and using data-driven insights to improve performance and capability outcomes.
The role combines training delivery with learning governance and consultancy. You will partner with operational stakeholders to identify learning needs, influence learning decisions, deliver engaging training interventions, and ensure accreditation requirements are effectively governed, evidenced and maintained.
To be successful as a Training Analyst, you should have experience with:
Essential Skills:
- Trainer-led learning delivery and facilitation: Proven experience delivering instructor-led training, workshops or learning programmes, with the ability to facilitate discussion, adapt delivery to different audiences, assess learner understanding, and manage engagement within virtual and/or classroom environments.
- Financial crime screening or regulated operations experience: Experience working within Financial Crime, Customer Screening, Adverse Media Screening, Payment Screening, Sanctions, Compliance, Risk, Audit, Investigations or another highly regulated environment. Able to understand governance requirements, apply risk and control principles, and operate effectively within a regulated framework.
- Stakeholder management within learning consultancy: Experience partnering with operational stakeholders to identify learning needs, challenge assumptions, influence decisions, and translate business, risk or performance issues into effective learning solutions and interventions. Able to build credibility, provide constructive challenge, and engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable skills:
- Learning design and training content management: Experience designing, developing and maintaining role-specific training solutions, including instructor-led, digital and blended learning content.
- Learning analytics and continuous improvement: Experience analysing learner, quality, operational or performance data to identify trends, determine learning requirements, evaluate training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Learning technology and learning management systems: Experience using learning technologies and management systems, such as Workday Learning, Learning Lab, SharePoint, Excel, automation tools or equivalent platforms, to support learning delivery, governance and reporting.

Purpose of the role
To educate and upskill operational colleagues through training, coaching and knowledge transfer initiatives.
Accountabilities
- Development of training programmes, workshops and other initiatives to coach and support the knowledge transfer and skill development of the banking operational teams/colleagues.
- Monitoring the effectiveness of training programmes and making recommendations for improvement.
- Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in learning and development.
- Execution of training needs assessments and collaborating across the bank to identify gaps in knowledge and skills.
- Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness in relation to learning and development.
- Identifying risk and issues internally within team and ability to escalate appropriately.
- Maintain Barclays branding, ensuring all materials are reflective of the standards; adhering to Barclays governance, standards and policies.
