Join us as a VP Financial Crime Governance & Control within our team in Glasgow or Northampton. You will be Reporting to the BPL MLRO, and you will be responsible for the oversight, analysis, and production of BPL Financial MI and reports. You will take the lead on analysing FC data in a proactive manner and escalate matters to senior stakeholders by interpreting complex data sets and producing robust FC trends, including new and emerging threats for the BPL customer population. You will also maintain oversight of service delivery and act as the Service Manager for the relevant agreement(s), coordinating setup/execution, change governance, performance reviews, risk assessments, issue management and forward change planning in line with internal outsourcing obligations.
To be successful in this role the candidate must have:
Attention to detail and the ability to challenge a variety of stakeholders
Proven track record of analysing complex data and translating this into succinct MI and reports
Payments knowledge and an understanding of Financial Crime risks associated with a Payments environment
Presentation skills with the ability to present MI data at senior governance meetings
Stakeholder management and influencing skills
This role can be based in Glasgow or Northampton with 3 anchor days in the office.

Purpose of the role
To provide data-led expert oversight and check and challenge on business and compliance matters to evidence that the organisation is operating in a compliance with Barclays legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities.
Accountabilities
- Identification and assessment of compliance risks through thorough reviews of business activities, changes, processes, testing and systems to.
- Identification and investigation of potential market abuse, including but not limited to, Insider Dealing, Unlawful Disclosure, Market Manipulation or Anti-Competitive Conduct.
- Conduct investigation of compliance risk events or breaches. Oversight and check and challenge of corrective actions and preventative measures to avoid future occurrences.
- Implementation of compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and ensuring that the bank’s internal policies are aligned with international standards, including jurisdictional requirements.
- Collaboration with 1LOD, other relevant Compliance teams and legal, and relevant risk management functions to facilitate a comprehensive approach to compliance and risk management.
- Identification, investigation and oversight of potential money laundering, terrorist financing or other financial crime.
