Job Description:
You will support project controls on large, high-value projects, helping ensure consistent application of best-practice methodologies. You will assist in monitoring and reporting project performance by analysing cost, schedule, and key performance indicators, providing actionable insights for decision-making. Working closely with Project Managers and Control Account Managers, you will provide data-driven support to manage cost, schedule, risks, and emerging issues. You will also contribute to core project controls activities, including updating Estimates at Completion (EAC), resource profiling, and supporting risk and opportunity management to help ensure successful project delivery.
Core duties:
- You will support the implementation of project controls processes across large, high-value projects, helping ensure consistent application of best-practice methodologies throughout the project lifecycle
- You will assist in monitoring and reporting project performance by analysing cost, schedule, and key performance indicators from multiple data sources, providing clear insights to support decision-making
- You will work closely with Project Managers and Control Account Managers, providing data-driven support to manage cost, schedule, risks, and emerging issues
- You will contribute to core project controls activities, including updating Estimates at Completion (EAC), resource profiling, and supporting risk and opportunity management to help deliver successful project outcomes
Essential Skills:
- You will bring solid experience in project controls, supporting large and multi-layered projects
- You will have practical knowledge of core Project Controls disciplines, including reporting, Earned Value Management (EVM), cost management, scheduling, risk and opportunity guidance, and baseline change control
- You will be proficient in key Project Controls tools such as COBRA and Tableau
- You will apply considerate and problem-solving skills to interpret detailed data from multiple sources, support root cause analysis, and provide clear, actionable insights to stakeholders
The Project Controls Team:
You will join the Project Controls team supporting the Type 26 Programme delivering eight advanced naval vessels across the UK. Working with the Control Account Manager and Project Manager, you’ll provide project controls insight, collaborate with stakeholders, and develop your career within BAE Systems programme.
