Job Description:
In this role, you will support quality assurance activities across the Regional Aircraft business, helping to ensure supplier and internal compliance with aerospace quality standards and regulations. You’ll carry out audits, contribute to continuous improvement activities, and work closely with process owners to maintain and enhance the quality management system. This is an opportunity to join a growing team in Prestwick with exposure to both civil and future military aviation projects.
Core duties:
- Support civil aircraft supplier approvals and help ensure compliance with relevant regulation/standards.
- Conduct audits across a diverse supplier base and contribute to internal QMS audit activity
- Apply sound judgement and a consistent approach when assessing compliance and quality standards
- Maintain and update the management system in collaboration with process owners
- Support the implementation of timely process and documentation updates
- Review and improve quality policies, processes and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
- Contribute to reliable, compliant and effective operational practices
Essential Skills:
- Experience working with EN9100 and ISO9001
- Familiar with the quality assurance activities in the aerospace sector
- Experience in using quality improvement tools and techniques to strengthen processes and outcomes
- Complete audits confidently across suppliers and internal teams
- Structured, detail focused approach to reviewing policies, processes and procedures
- Comfortable working with process owners to implement compliant, timely updates to the management system
The Regional Aircraft Quality team:
The team supports quality assurance across the Regional Aircraft business, working from Prestwick’s growing engineering hub. As the business expands, the team’s remit will broaden into military projects, creating a collaborative environment with development opportunities and exposure to an evolving, multi domain project landscape.
