The Centre is commissioned by the Scottish Government to support NHS Boards and Health and Social Care Partnerships to deliver safe and effective care and improve outcomes for the people of Scotland. The Centre supports delivery of several wide-ranging and complex national programmes of work, of which the National Unscheduled Care Programme is one.
The National Unscheduled Care Programme facilitates the collaborative and whole system development and delivery of improvement programmes which reflect best practice in order to remove waits, delays and duplication and support the delivery of the Right Care in the Right Place. Use this expertise to ensure robust quality planning has occurred with appropriate change methods and measurement plans that project impact for those working at a strategic level. These plans will be consistent with the principles of Realistic Medicine and Value Based Healthcare.
- Provide support and leadership for the Specialty Delivery Groups in their portfolio areas which bring together key stakeholders across the Country to define and sustainably deliver change, learning and innovation.
