An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bank Community Healthcare Support worker to join our Community Nursing Team in West Caithness.
As a HCSW you will provide support to patients within their own community setting, you’ll provide a high level of care that reflects what matters to the patient. You’ll work in a team with HCSWs, registered nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Good communication skills are essential for this role and throughout the patient care pathway to make sure patients’ needs are met
It is expected the HCSW will work within defined parameters and scope of practice often unsupervised with delegated case/workload to fulfil agreed / assessed needs with a person centred focus this will involve a variety of tasks within a multidisciplinary framework such as wound care, basic vital signs, venepuncture, catheter care and provision of equipment.
The successful candidate will ideally have a SVQ 3/ Level 7 qualification or be willing to work towards this once in post to meet the requirements of the HCSW framework
A full current drivers licence and access to a car is essential. Pool vehicles may be available.
