Responsible To:

Senior Housekeeping Team / Assistant Head Housekeeper

Purpose of the Role

To support the housekeeping team in delivering a five-star standard of cleanliness and presentation, ensuring all guest rooms and public areas exceed expectations and contribute to memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Quality

Prepare guest bedrooms and public areas to Forbes 5★ standard
Deliver turndown service to a +1 standard
Support guest laundry services to a high-quality standard
Respond to guest requests promptly, with a genuine sense of interest
Report maintenance issues or quality concerns

Team Support

Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a positive and productive environment
Support colleagues during busy periods
Assist with cleaning and maintaining team areas and accommodation

Productivity & Organisation

Restock cleaning supplies and equipment
Ensure rooms are cleaned within allocated timeframes
Report and follow up on faulty equipment
Follow SOPs and suggest improvements where appropriate

Health & Safety

Comply fully with health & safety procedures
Follow “see it, sort it, fix it” approach to risks and hazards

Sustainability

Work in line with the company’s sustainability and environmental standards
