We’re looking for a Bar Manager to lead and inspire the team, set the vibe, and make sure every pour, spritz, and shake feels like The Hoxton, Edinburgh.
Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, you’ll be responsible for managing a fun, slick and fast-paced bar operation, day and night, providing a highly efficient and effective bar service, ensuring standards are maintained and guest needs are anticipated, making them want to come back again and again.
We’ve opened our doors in Edinburgh’s charming West End - our very first Hox in Scotland. Set across 11 beautiful Georgian townhouses, we’re home to 214 bedrooms, a lively open lobby and bar, an all-day Italian trattoria Patatino, a retro-inspired cinema, a flexible and super-size event space called The Get Together, and The Apartment – our unique signature spot for meetings, private dinners and memorable gatherings.
Patatino is our all-day Italian trattoria serving fresh pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and all the spritzes and Italian wines you could wish for. Inspired by the glam and romance of the sun-soaked Amalfi coast, it’s a spot for long, joyful meals with friends, where old-school charm meets modern design, with bold colours, cosy corners, and plenty of personality.

What you’ll do…
- Run a fun and fast paced bar operation day and night.
- Be creative, share ideas, develop, and implement our bar strategy – play a part in innovating our bar concept and staying on (and even ahead) of trends.
- Know your product and systems inside out.
- Lead your team by example, driving service standards that strive for the best for the guest; encouraging your team to grow and develop, the Hox way.
- Own your P&L as if it were you own.
- Increase sales through your innovative and creative approach and reliable advice.

- Experience dealing with brands, brand activations and account managers.
- Stock management is your thing!
