An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Pharmacy Support Worker to join the small nursing team within the Medicine Management Team.
Pharmacy Support Worker establish working links between care homes, district nurse bases, community hospitals, GP surgeries and many other multidisciplinary agencies such as Tissue Viability, Bowel & Bladder Service, Prescribing Support nurses etc.
The Pharmacy Support Worker will liaise with all care homes ensuring that Non-Prescription Ordering (NPO)/PECOS ordering is the main ordering system of clinical stock to their respective homes/bases. Part of the role will also include - streamlining clinical stock, reducing variation of products, improving formulary compliance, and reducing medicines waste. This will be carried out though supporting PECOS ordering, auditing stock, organising storage areas, implementing ordering processes, documenting interventions.
Applicants should have good people skills, be well organised, have some knowledge of clinical products and ordering processes such as PECOS.
Ability to travel to various sites throughout Fife is a necessary part of the role. Enterprise cars are available to use and petrol allowance is provided if using own car.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
